Do I need relevant professional knowledge or experience to enroll in this course?
No, you do not need to possess any relevant professional knowledge or experience. The course welcomes individuals aged 18 to 29 who have completed Form 6 (F.6) or are currently unemployed. Interested applicants need to fill out an application form, complete an online test, and participate in an interview. We aim to understand the current situation and career goals of applicants, confirming their determination and interest before making admission decisions.
Is this course credible?
The programme is fully and organized funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. The tuition fees are fully waived, and no additional fees will be charged to learners after the course commences. The course is specifically designed for SEN (Special Educational Needs) youth and is developed and taught by experienced professionals, ensuring a high-quality and valuable learning experience for the learners.
Does the course provide job guarantees?
Generation has a large network of employers, and learners will have opportunities for interviews and job placements upon graduation. To ensure learners’ success in interviews, we provide pre-employment preparation, including interview skills, to ensure a smooth transition into the workplace.
What kind of support and guidance will I receive during and after the course?
To cater to the diverse learning needs of learners, in addition to course instructors, we will assign a mentor to each learner. These experienced mentors will teach learners different topics according to their learning progress and guide them in problem-solving. Moreover, our course will also cover resume building, provide mock interview opportunities, and offer post-employment support to ensure a seamless transition for learners from the classroom to the workplace.
Does the course provide any proof of learning outcomes?
Students who successfully complete the course and meet the classroom requirements will receive three certificates awarded by Generation Hong Kong, YMCA College of Careers, and the University of Sunderland, Hong Kong Office, respectively.
